This was a special project for me. My friend, Marlene Yates, brought me a scrap of an old quilt top, a double wedding ring, which her Grandmother had started long ago. She asked me if I could somehow make it into something she could display. The original quilt top was made from 1930s fabrics and I was able to get this reproduction 30's green fabric to applique it onto. I then found this multi-color tiny floral reproduction which matched many of the prints in the original piece. I loved this project, uniting a grandmother and her granddaughter through the art of quilting.
