GORDON'S QUILT
We have a dear friend, Dr. Gordon George, who recently passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Gordon was the fun at every party and loved to laugh and joke and tease. I made this autograph quilt for him and gave it to him and his lovely wife, Leslie, to have their friends and co-workers express their feelings for Gordon on his quilt. Gordon is no longer with us physically, but Leslie can enjoy this now and think of her sweetheart whenever she does.
PEACE OUT
I named this quilt after one of my daughter's favorite sayings. This applique quilt has one block with little birds (we will call them doves of peace) flying around in a circle. It also has a panel in the top of the quilt with the birds flying across the quilt. At this tumultuous time in our world we could all wish for more peace. This also reminds me of Gordon's funeral where several doves of peace were released into the air at the end of his burial service. We know you are at peace now, Gordon- love ya
